Our Own Thrapsathiri
At 370 meters altitude, on the lush hills of Stavros in the Dafnes region, Thrapsathiri expresses with elegance the essence of Cretan land. Nestled in clay‑sandy soils, with a density of 290–300 vines per stremma, this ancient local variety grows with balance and respect for nature, drawing strength from the gentle winds and the bright Cretan light that shape its character.
Every 10–12 years, the vines are renewed with care and precision, preserving their vitality and quality for the years to come. At the end of August, under the gentle autumn sun, the harvest takes place, yielding 1000–1100 kilos of grapes per stremma, rich in aromas of ripe melon, peach, and delicate floral notes that reflect the purity of the terroir and the patience of the growers.
Thrapsathiri is not simply a variety. It is the living heritage of Crete, conveying with grace and quiet strength the story of our land through every drop of its wine, a testament to tradition, craftsmanship, and the timeless bond between vineyard and nature.
